Saturday on Kauai

Our morning started with this view off the deck...

Not a bad way to start a day!

That was followed by a yummy breakfast at my new favorite place, the Kalaheo Cafe. It's about 3 minutes from our condo. Great food, great coffee, and a big porch with ceiling fans to sit under and enjoy great conversation.

Looking here like I need a bit of that Kauai Coffee pick-me-up!
From there, we hit the beach. We figure, we can hike at home, we can go for a drive at home, but we can't go to the beach at home! Thanks to a great tip from my sis-in-law Megan, we found a completely undeveloped sanctuary where there were only a handful of locals around. Gorgeous beach, the waters were a bit rough, but not bad for bobbing in the waves. Fabulous location to read a book and stroll with my honey.

After a day of sun, sand, and surf, we went home for a quick shower, and headed out to catch some dinner and the setting sun. Stopped at a recommended taco stand, Paco's Tacos, and had a yummy dinner.
Then off to Salt Pond Beach for sunset. And looky here, a happy man and his Jeep!
We were able to get a few good pics with the tripod, but the wind was working against us, so we took A LOT of pictures to get a handful of decent ones.
Another lovely day on the island. I think we may never leave. If we could only figure out a way to get our kids here... Hmmmm......

What a beautiful couple celebrating 20 years of marriage. I know where I want to go on our next big vacation!

Love you both so much!
