Very tired tonight, so this will be a quick update. Bob and I spent the entire day kayaking the Wailua River and going on a couple hikes along the way. It was amazing, beautiful, fun, and tiring! Mom, so many spots along the way reminded me of Pa's creek...and then we would round the corner to palm trees! The river was slow, deep, and so peaceful.

We stopped along the way to hike for about 45 minutes to the Waimea Falls. The hike was beautiful, and the falls were incredible. We had lunch there, then I went for a swim and even stood under the falls. Ouch. The cool water felt great after our hike.

We got off the river around 5:00 p.m., then dropped off the kayak and had burgers at Ono Char-Burgers. Great burger sitting out under the palm trees. From there we drove to the south shore to Poipu and stopped for ice cream at Lappert's. This was our second time at Lappert's so far, and probably not our last. Bob is in love...

Thanks for the blog, Laura; parts certainly did remind me of Pa's creek.

So glad you two are enjoying Hawaii, but, most importantly, yourselves.

Love you both so much! Mom

As you might have guessed by now, Daron must have left me logged in to his blog. Ugh! Not again, kids!
